Liszt and Debussy

The music of Liszt and Debussy is in good hands with the Italian-Dutch pianist Saskia Giorgini. She has recorded works by both composers, and from these acclaimed CDs she will perform, among other pieces, Liszt’s beloved Consolations and Debussy’s enchanting L’isle joyeuse. The programme also features the Trois Morceaux by Lili Boulanger, three lesser-known gems.

The great wealth of tonal colours and poetic beauty in Boulanger’s pieces perfectly complement works like Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales and the lesser-known Pavane by Enescu. They are further enhanced by Giorgini’s piano playing, celebrated for its pure musicality and deeply felt interpretations.
