Carillon ConcertGratis

With its 76 bronze bells, the carillon in the Red Tower on Halle’s Marktplatz is the largest in Europe. The bells sound not only to mark the time: every day, they also ring out the number of newborn babies in Halle, welcoming them with the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. Concerts featuring regional and international musicians are held here on a regular basis. For the carillon concert opening the Handel Festival, you can hear the carillonneur of Utrecht and Nijmegen, Malgosia Fiebig.
