Music sounds better on brass instruments. That is the core message of the London ensemble Septura, which will dazzle audiences on Swiss National Day with three trumpets, three trombones and a tuba in the concert hall of the Arena Klosters with virtuoso arrangements of classical hits. Rossini’s overture to the opera “William Tell” will be featured, as will Handel’s brilliant “Fireworks Music” and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” with its catchy promenade, which connects the individual pictures such as the “Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks” and “The Great Gate of Kiev”. The award-winning Swiss accordionist Viviane Chassot, known for her stylistic diversity, will bring a whole new dimension to the concert. It is her multi-layered accordion playing that creates the perfect atmosphere for Astor Piazzolla’s tangos. Breton and Irish folk songs will also be performed – with her flexibility and enthusiasm for music, Viviane Chassot is the perfect choice.
Ticket sales will open on March 1, 2026.
