Thousands of miles. The distance between classical music and jazz or cabaret? Or between the Old World and the New? Taking Kurt Weill as their core artist, mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey and pianist Baptiste Trotignon bridge this expanse effortlessly. In their suitcases? Music brimming with homesickness and longing, not only by Weill, but also by Alma Mahler, Alexander von Zemlinsky and Erich Wolfgang Korngold, three other composers who left their homeland for America on the eve of World War II.
