Day Four of the orchestral rounds at the Pehlivanian International Conducting Competition 2026, live from Festival Hall, Bled, Slovenia.
Six semi-finalists work with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and soloists drawn from the prize winners of the Busoni International Piano Competition and the Ljubljana Festival International Piano Competition. Each conductor has one hour to rehearse and then perform either Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 or Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. The jury watches how they rehearse as closely as how they perform.
Morning session 09:30 to 13:10 CET. Afternoon session 15:15 to 18:55 CET.
