Gershwin's piano concerto, written after the success of Rhapsody in Blue, mixes classical form with jazz, blues, and ragtime.
Pianist Tzimon Barto really gets to shine in the virtuoso piano part. The designation Grandioso, which appears in a few places in the piano part, gives a clear indication of this.
