In 2024, she also won First Prize and nine special prizes at the 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition.

Tae-Yeon Kim has distinguished herself in numerous international competitions, winning top prizes at the Antonio Janigra, Gustav Mahler, Young Tchaikovsky, and Osaka competitions, as well as the Bohuslav Martinů Prize in Prague and the prestigious Frans Helmerson Prize awarded by the Kronberg Academy.

As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras worldwide, including the Warsaw Philharmonic, Brussels Philharmonic, Lahti Symphony Orchestra, Chattanooga Symphony, Krakow Philharmonic, St. Petersburg City Orchestra, Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen, Brevard Festival Orchestra, Novosibirsk Youth Orchestra, Korean Traditional Orchestra, KT Chamber Orchestra, and Kremerata Baltica.

At the age of fourteen, she was accepted to the Curtis Institute of Music as a Jacqueline du Pré Memorial Fellowship recipient. She is currently studying with Gary Hoffman and Peter Wiley.

She continues to delight audiences on the world's most important stages, and her concert schedule is packed with recitals and concerts until 2028.
