In the 40 years since he won the Gold Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow, Barry Douglas has garnered critical acclaim and a global following for performances hallmarked by their depth of insight, integrity and authority. His lunchtime recital includes a selection of exquisite miniatures drawn from Brahms’s late Op. 116 collection and Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons and the bold expressive masterstrokes of Musorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition.
