Brahms’ Fourth Symphony was his last, but he wasn’t going gently into the night – it starts with a sigh and ends with a tempest. Any performance of this work is an adventure. We’re proud to welcome (for the first time in Liverpool) two artists who are making waves internationally: Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska opens the evening with a little gem by Finnish composer and pupil of Sibelius, Ida Moberg, then South Korean violinist Inmo Yang plays the master’s elemental Violin Concerto.
