Following its acclaimed debut in 2024, the prestigious Edinburgh International Royal Mile Piano Series returns with a complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas, performed across the 2025–26 season. Set against the magnificent backdrop of St Giles’ Cathedral — illuminated by candlelight and enhanced by a newly installed Steinway grand piano — these concerts promise an unforgettable musical experience at the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile.

Warren Mailley-Smith is among the most sought-after pianists of his generation. In 2015, he made headlines as the first British pianist to perform Chopin’s complete solo piano works from memory in a landmark concert series. His career has taken him from Wigmore Hall to Carnegie Hall, and he has performed for members of the British Royal Family on numerous occasions.
