Kazuki conducts Harmonium

The pursuit of happiness: for the Fourth of July, a joyous, all-American choral finale to our season. 

“Wild Nights! Wild Nights! Done with the compass – done with the chart!” And so, to the words of Emily Dickinson, John Adams' Harmonium, premiered in Europe by the CBSO in 1987, lifts off into realms of pure sonic ecstasy. Under Kazuki Yamada, it’s a huge, vibrant workout for the massed voices of the CBSO Chorus – and a glorious finale to a celebration of life, liberty and song.
