Breath-taking clarity and seductive warmth suffuse the Pavel Haas Quartet’s sound, used to shape interpretations hailed as ‘life-enhancing’ by the Arts Desk. BBC Music Magazine greeted the Czech ensemble’s recording of Dvořák’s ‘American’ Quartet with a five-star review, concluding that ‘their understanding of the musical argument is exemplary’.
