Two of Wilhelm Stenhammar’s most beloved works come together in a single concert. First, his magnificent Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by pianist Martin Sturfält in a work rich in drama, lyricism and symphonic power. After the interval, Stenhammar’s Symphony No. 2, a masterpiece of the Swedish orchestral repertoire, blending Nordic freshness, shimmering colours and deep emotion.
The concert is conducted by Tobias Ringborg, one of Sweden’s leading interpreters of Stenhammar’s music. An evening celebrating the composer who helped shape Swedish orchestral music.
