The International Bach Festival belongs to Schaffhausen nearly as inseparably as the world-famous Rhine Falls. Founded in 1946, Schaffhausen's Bach Festival connects music lovers from all over Europe with unforgettable concerts.

Every festival programme follows a specific motto and features unique concerts specially devised for the festival, thus enabling manifold connections to other composers, eras and musical styles. With world premieres, commissions and innovative crossover projects the Bach Festival continuously sets new standards. The next Bach Festival follows the motto «Uplifting Bach», and offers a rich and diverse programme with world famous artists as well as exciting newcomers and guarantees lasting experiences.
