The Dream is such a crowdpleaser that one wishes ABT would do this more often in their Met season, but Ballet Imperial needed more time to relax into. 

It's got a lot of appeal, with a diverse range of choreography, and offering audiences the chance to see excellent dancing and even some partnerships forming from different companies.

ABT has always been a place where stars shine brightest and this night had a whole constellation of them.

Alexei Ratmansky's The Nutcracker for American Ballet Theatre is probably the best one since it was first created. Gillian Murphy and James Whiteside danced with poignant grace and radiant musicality that thrilled the audience.
