Intérprete: The Philadelphia Orchestra

Co-commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra, the concerto highlights Wu Man, a virtuoso player of the Chinese lute.

For the first time ever, the Philadelphia Orchestra perform music by Julius Eastman (1940-1990), a graduate of the nearby Curtis Institute.

Guest conductor Dalia Stasevska conducts an earthbound reading of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony.
