Her Ensemble

Her Ensemble are an internationally acclaimed, game-changing ensemble giving exciting and important focus to female composers.

Discovering a large gap in her education and a rich legacy of women writing music as far back as 450BC, director Ellie Consta sought to explore this overlooked repertoire whilst creating a space where classical and contemporary music scenes could meet on equal terms.

This programme spotlights some of their favourite pieces of music for piano trio by composers Amy Beach, Reena Esmail, Lili Boulanger, as well as their own arrangements of jazz-miniatures by Florence Price.

Featuring director Ellie Consta together with phenomenal in-demand soloists, Laura van der Heijden and Junyan Chen, this will be an exciting and uplifting event during International Women's Month.
