Internationally acclaimed Anglo-Brazilian violin and piano duo, Madeleine Mitchell ("one of the UK's liveliest musical forces and foremost violinists" The Times) and the outstanding pianist Clelia Iruzun perform an appealing work by a living Brazilian composer, John Ireland's powerful Violin Sonata written during World War One and the ever popular Franck Violin Sonata, written as a wedding present for the composer's compatriot and friend the great Belgian violinist Eugene Ysaye who gave the premiere.
It follows their recitals at the invitation of the British Ambassador, Brasilia and in Rio de Janeiro 14 August.
