Discover three new and contrasting chamber concertos by contemporary classical composers whose careers are taking off, performed by Britten Sinfonia with star soloists Laura van der Heijden, Martin Owen and Siwan Rhys.

Britten Sinfonia’s year-long composer development programme, Magnum Opus, reaches its culmination with the premieres of works by Toby Anderson, Amy Bryce and Jonathan Woolgar.

Anderson is often inspired by his experiences of being bodily affected by hearing different types of music – from intricate, brain-twisting classical works to thumping club anthems. Bryce’s music is playful and witty, sometimes political – as a queer artist wanting to convey issues simply and directly – and at other times simply concerned with beauty. Woolgar explores the spectrum between the fragmentary and the symphonic, playing with influences old and new to create a dreamlike dialogue between past and present.
