Soprano, Ana Beard, and pianist, Matthew Jorysz, have been performing together in recital for almost a decade, bringing a shared passion for song repertoire to audiences across Europe. Following acclaimed performances in Córdoba and Burgos, they are delighted to present 'Falla 150' in London.
Blending familiar masterpieces with lesser-known gems, 'Falla 150' celebrates the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla, offering an intimate portrait of Falla's world tracing his artistic journey from his Andalusian roots to his rich creative dialogue with France and his lasting influence on Hispanic music.
Through songs by Falla alongside works by Albéniz, Turina, Rodrigo, Debussy, Ravel, and Montsalvatge, the programme explores the musical friendships, inspirations, and cultural exchanges that shaped one of Spain's all-time greatest composers.
This is an ILAMS concert organised in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes and St Clement Danes as part of Echoes Festival 2026
