Three leading Estonian musicians perform two landmarks of the piano-trio repertoire. Ravel’s 1914 Piano Trio combines Basque-inspired rhythms, formal precision and striking rhythmic invention, while Schubert’s expansive Piano Trio No. 2 pairs lyrical intimacy with symphonic scale and a poignant slow movement based on the Swedish folk song “Se solen sjunker”.
