In this theatrical concert, musicians from Aleppo join forces with the New European Ensemble to bring their city’s rich musical traditions to life. They paint a new soundscape in which the ancient city comes alive; centuries-old voices echo from prayer halls and coffeehouses while cars honk their horns and the air is filled with the scent of coffee, pepper, and cinnamon.
A Ticket to Aleppo presents a passionate musical dialogue between Arab and Western traditions and showcases the city’s vitality. In this concert, the passion and spirituality of Aleppo merge with Western timbre, harmony, and form. Instruments such as the oud, qanun, and riq are combined with violin, viola, cello, and flute.
Tickets: From € 32,00
