November 2026 sees the launch of our new collaboration with the Royal Northern College of Music. In five recitals across the 26/27 season, the RNCM’s leading pianists will present a rich and varied programme of piano music, showcasing the exciting talent of young emerging artists.
To begin the series, Edward Lloyd performs one of Franz Liszt’s most visionary, mystical cycles, which takes its inspiration from the poetry of Parisian Romanticism and traverses a vast emotional and spiritual landscape. From the grinding, deathly bells of Funérailles to the opulent and luminous tenderness of Bénédiction de Dieu dans la Solitude, we sense a monumental, epic narrative force—one which will reach far into the future, inspiring masterpieces like those of Richard Wagner with its scale and majesty.
