The Fitzwilliam Quartet has a distinguished reputation for performing British music from the 17th century to the present day. Over the years, many British composers have been inspired by John Dowland’s ‘Lachrimae ’, a set of pavans for lute or viols, published in London in 1604. This concert presents the UK premiere of Lachrimae by Peter Fribbins (originally premiered in Ohio, USA), alongside his own arrangement of Dowland’s ‘Lacrimae Verae’, Mozart’s ‘Spring’ quartet and Beethoven’s late Op.132 masterpiece complete the concert.

This performance will last approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute interval.

A small number of tickets in the front two rows are available for £28 online or £31 at the door (£21/£23.25 for LCMS Friends).

Student and young adult tickets are £7 both online and at the door.
