Yuja Wang returns to DE SINGEL with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and two Brahms piano concertos that are polar opposites, yet together form an irresistible whole.
The Piano Concerto No. 1 opens with symphonic power and technical fireworks, the perfect stage for Wang to showcase her virtuosity and passion. The Piano Concerto No. 2 reveals another side of Brahms: a restrained love letter to Clara Schumann, full of warmth and delicate lyricism, in which Wang allows her sensitivity and musicality to resonate deeply.
