Michael Tilson Thomas steht seit Jahrzehnten wieder am Pult des BRSO, mit dem „Monument der amerikanischen Symphonik”, Coplands Dritter Symphonie. 

Michael Tilson Thomas returns to the LSO with more Mahler, this time the mighty Resurrection Symphony which finds the conductor in glowing form. 

Michael Tilson Thomas' energy and wisdom remain undimmed in the New York Philharmonic's season opener.

The conductor stated that his Glioblastoma tumour has returned, commenting “the odds are uncertain”. His 80th birthday performance with the San Francisco Symphony in April will be his last.
