Der moderne klassische Konzertbetrieb neigt dazu, die gleichen Stücke mit den gleichen Künstlern immer wieder in die Konzertsäle zu bringen. An diesem Abend brachten die Münchner Symphoniker nicht nur selten gehörte Werke, sondern auch zwei zwei München-Debüts ins Prinzregententheater.

Sian Edwards takes the helm of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in Britten, Korngold and Dvořák, with mixed results. 

Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast is brought to life Sir Bryn Terfel, Adam Hickox and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra. 

Korngold's concerto is at the heart of The Hallé's concert of American urban music which also features Gershwin, Higdon and Bernstein.

Elgar's Violin Concerto is at the heart of Vasily Petrenko's first Royal Festival Hall concert since becoming the RPO's Music Director. 

The wonderful acoustics of Milton Court proved to be the ideal setting for dramatic performances of rarely performance repertoire. With Igor Levit at the helm the evening was both technically challenging and artistically stimulating for audience and performers alike.
