The Young Composers Meeting Apeldoorn was opened by the 'Orchestra of the 21st century' under Ed Spanjaard, with fascinating pieces by Anna Meredith and Louis Andriessen.
Andriessen's exhilarating music performed by the Clazz Ensemble
Louis Andriessen is my favourite Dutch composer, but even here in the Netherlands his works are underperformed. So it was all the more exciting that the Clazz Ensemble presented a program solely with works by Andriessen.
