New York City Ballet’s Contemporary Choreography I is a generous, exciting program featuring two new ballets that premiered at this season’s Fall Fashion Gala.

A triple bill including Tiler Peck’s newest ballet for NYCB, does not entirely work. Too much blue light and sadness for one program.

Both the new works are accessible ballets in the neoclassical style that is typical of the company.
