Jeremy Denk Plays Mozart Piano Concertos I

Royal Northern Sinfonia and Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska with pianist Jeremy Denk. Long-time musical collaborators and friends, Maria and Jeremy have shared stages from New York to Scotland and now reunite at Lammermuir Festival for a deep dive into Mozart’s piano concertos over three nights.

Youthful invention takes centre stage. Mozart’s ‘Jeunehomme’ Piano Concerto brims with excitement, the piano announcing its presence right from the start. It’s paired with Piano Concerto No. 14 – its restless moods like the turbulent drama and passion of youth. And Janáček’s Mládí (‘Youth’ in Czech), is a nostalgic look back to childhood that shines a light on the wind section.
