This programme focuses on the music of Philip Glass, performed by Cappella Amsterdam, conducted by Cyrille Nanchen, and harpist Lavinia Meijer. Glass’s clear, repetitive and instantly recognisable style forms the basis of the evening. Excerpts from operas such as Akhnaten and Einstein on the Beach, film music from Koyaanisqatsi and a solo piece for harp showcase different facets of his oeuvre.
