Viktorianische Rüschen, verrutschte Schnurrbärte und Katia Ledoux als Mezzo-Piratenkönig. Die Inszenierung an der Volksoper sorgt sichtlich für Unterhaltung, kann die Schwächen von Gilbert und Sullivan aber nicht wettmachen.
