Marie Jacquot makes her BBC Proms debut with great performances of Bizet, Saint-Saëns and Augusta Holmès, while Inmo Yang dazzles in Sarasate. 

Sakari Oramo and the BBCSO were at the top of their game, bringing a bracing breath of Scandi fresh air and clear light, on a dark December eveneing. 

Not much of a flicker in the needle of the barometer for orchestra and conductor in Brahms, but Johan Dalene charms the ear in a serene outing of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto.
