Work: Le Corsaire

A mix of world class performances and interesting new choreography is a bit of a magnet for ballet-goers.

In February 2022, Kyiv City Ballet embarked upon a three week tour of France having finally recovered from scheduling disruption due to COVID, and haven't been back since.

Back on stage after stopping for the lockdown, Le Corsaire by José Carlos Martinez for Rome Opera Ballet creates a narrative ballet for our time, with an ancient flavour but a contemporary attack.
