Dausgaard is in his natural habitat when conducting music by his compatriot and his account of the Sinfonia espansiva proves the highlight of this Prom. 

In a bold move, guest conductor Thomas Søndergård conducts three Atlanta premieres by late-Romantic Scandinavian composers.

An interesting evening where links between Haydn and Nielsen were illuminated in bold and individual performances.
