Sam Quy began her professional dance career aged eleven, and won the Ballethoo Best Dancer Trophy, aged fourteen. She went on to graduate with distinction in MA Dance Studies; a Specialist Certificate Arte Flamenco, and a Diploma in Musical Theatre. Her dance career spans countless performances in Flamenco, Dance Theatre, and Opera; including the BBC documentary Manet, Strictly Come Dancing, and the 3D film Carmen. Sam wrote Lorca’s Flamenco, provided research for Flamenco International magazine and was editor of Flamenco News. She has studied Dance Criticism with Donald Hutera and is author of Reading Dance in the Musical, Wilson King Publishing.
