Here are the guidelines that we give to our reviewers as to how they should assess a star rating:
* Little good to say about this. You would have preferred to stay at home.
** A bit disappointing. There may have been some good parts, but you would have hoped for a better experience.
*** An event that generally lived up to expectations but may have had one or two aspects which stopped it being truly memorable.
**** An excellent event that will be one of the best things you've seen this year.
***** One of your best experiences ever. An event that you will remember happily and be talking about in five years time.
