Semi-staged performance with beautiful music from the Romantic era
Singing at the very highest level has a limited time span. Singers eventually part ways with the family they once appeared inseparable from. What happens when you’re no longer anchored to the very foundations you’ve stood upon? Is it a parting marked by loss, or a fresh start brimming with time for something different? These are the questions explored in this semi-staged performance for the young and old.
With humour and a touch of melancholy, singers and former singers of the Netherlands Chamber Choir perform beautiful songs from the Romantic era and the early 20th century. The concept was conceived by Tido Visser, director of the Netherlands Chamber Choir. Sjaron Minailo, a Dutch-Israeli opera director, directs it.
