Words of sorrow and songs of hope: join Simon Halsey to sing Brahms’ haunting German Requiem alongside the full CBSO.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”. Johannes Brahms wasn’t the religious type, but when his mother died he created one of the most heartfelt of all Requiems. Intended to console the living and filled with the warmest of melodies, it’s balm for the spirit – and a wonderful chance to sing live at Symphony Hall with the CBSO under the expert guidance of the world-famous chorus director, Simon Halsey.
Tickets: £26 for singers / £13 for audience
For singers, rehearsals will start at 1:30pm. Full details will be shared closer to the time.
