In 2013, Anna Clyne was commissioned to write a piece for The Last Night of the Proms, and the result was the colorful Masquerade.
Cellist Amalie Stalheim is the soloist in Anders Hillborg's cello concerto from 2020, which has been performed worldwide since its premiere in Amsterdam.
The concert concludes with a selection of movements from Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet.
