Debussy's Printemps is more of a description of a spring-like inner awakening, while Boulanger's Dún matin de printemps expresses joy and anticipation.
Anne Sofie von Otter, one of Sweden's most successful mezzo-sopranos, can be heard in Karlsson's Så We Will Vanish, which deals with the destruction of nature.
The finale features Roussel's Suite No. 2 from Bacchus et Arriane.
