On Saturday April 25th at 3:00pm, join Heather Tuach (cello) & Yoko Misumi (piano) for a fundraiser concert in support of International Liberty Association. As well as classics by Bach and Beethoven, you’ll hear ‘Lalai (a lullaby to awaken you)' by Barbara Heller, in memory of women murdered under the Shah regime; ‘Lacrimosa’ by Liz Dilnot Johnson, a setting from ‘When a Child is a Witness - Requiem for Refugees’; The Gloomy Forest, arr. Duncan Strachan, a tune about Scots cleared from their land and now facing a harsh Canadian landscape. In addition, cellists Agnieszka Maria Mika and Yanis Charifi will take part in the beautiful Requiem for Three Cellos and Piano by Popper. The music will last approximately an hour, after which there will be a reception.

All proceeds from the event will support ILA’s human rights advocacy, campaigns to stop executions, and community support programmes for displaced and marginalised people.
