Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons features in every classical music chart. And rightly so, as few pieces capture the imagination quite like this evergreen masterpiece. There are too many fantastic violinists within the Concertgebouw Orchestra to limit the spotlight to just one soloist. Instead, four of our finest violinists will take centre stage in this programme, directed by concertmaster Tjeerd Top.
Like Vivaldi, Australian-Dutch composer Kate Moore draws her inspiration from nature. Moore curated this programme herself and has created a new arrangement of her work Arc-en-ciel, for cello and chamber orchestra, specifically for this occasion.
