Martin Hayes is one of the most influential voices in Irish music today. As both a maestro and passionate ambassador of the Irish fiddle, he has been leaving his mark on the genre for years. With his intense, layered violin playing, he knows how to touch the heart. In 2017, Hayes sold out the Muziekgebouw with supergroup The Gloaming. Now he returns with a special trio.
Joined by pianist Cormac McCarthy and multi-instrumentalist Brian Donnellan, Hayes explores the musical traditions of his homeland in a unique and contemporary fashion. All three are members of Martin Hayes & The Common Ground Ensemble, whose debut album, Peggy’s Dream, received a five-star review from The Irish Times. Expect an evening defined by depth, energy, and pure musicianship.
Tickets: € 12,50 – € 35,00
