Our 2026-2027 season of Musical Journeys Through Time starts in 1887, where the Russian, Rimsky-Korsakov, paints a dazzling musical picture of Spain. From there, Spanish rhythms and colour inspire very different responses. Prokofiev’s concerto has a buoyant finale complete with castanets, whilst de Falla’s Three-Cornered Hat is the authentic Spanish sound – vibrant, colourful and vivid.
