Congratulations to Monika Rittershaus, winner of the Best Production Photograph for her weird and wonderful image of Uwe Schönbeck in Barrie Kosky's Les Contes d'Hoffmann at Komische Oper Berlin.

Congratulations to the Hungarian State Opera Chorus, winner of the award for Best Chorus for their performance in Turandot. Bachtrack's Jenny Camilleri wrote:
“The chorus is, in fact, the motor behind the production’s visually fluidity. Informed by Japanese kabuki theatre, Mr Kovalik has them constantly moving in slick choreography, and while singing superbly to boot.”

Congratulations to Sir Simon Rattle, winner of the Best Conductor award for his performance of Tristan und Isolde in Baden-Baden in March. Bachtrack's Ako Imamura enthused about how the hours flew by:
“Under Sir Simon Rattle’s meticulous, expansive and unhurried direction, the strings played waves of lush melodies with every note clearly articulated... it was the conductor and his orchestra that received the most tumultuous ovation at the end of the evening.”
