Competition: Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition (Violin 2018)

Biography

The Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition is a piano, violin and singing contest open to young musicians from all over the world.

Founded 75 years ago by two great artists, it is a highlight of the Parisian, French and international season.

Four pioneers of the musical scene are now joining the competition to support future editions : Renaud Capuçon, Martha Argerich & Bertrand Chamayou, Dominique Meyer.

Best known laureates :

Violin : Michèle Auclair (1943), Christian Ferras (1949), Ivry Gitlis (1951), Wladimir Spivakov and Patrice Fontanarosa (1965), Mie Kobayashi (1990), Daishin Kashimoto and Svetlin Roussev (1996), Suzan Hou (1999)
