The Guadamora International Chamber Music Competition is open to chamber ensembles of two to six musicians whose members are aged between 18 and 35. Re-established in 2026 as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Fundación Ricardo Delgado Vizcaíno, the competition aims to support emerging chamber musicians and promote artistic excellence through an international platform.
All applications will undergo a preliminary selection process based on the submitted materials, after which selected ensembles will be invited to Pozoblanco (Córdoba, Spain) to participate in the live rounds of the competition. The Semi-Finals will take place on 7 November 2026 at the Marcos Redondo Professional Conservatory of Music, with a maximum number of ensembles advancing to the Final on 8 November at Teatro El Silo.
The competition will be judged by an international panel of distinguished musicians and music professionals, chaired by the Spanish composer Tomás Marco. Awards include a First Prize of €20,000, a Second Prize of €10,000, a Third Prize of €5,000, and a Special Prize for Spanish Music. All live competition rounds are open to the public.
Applications are open from 4 March to 20 June 2026, with the list of selected semi-finalists announced by 30 June 2026.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on 6 November 2026. The Semi-Finals will be held on 7 November at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Marcos Redondo. A maximum of 5 ensembles will advance to the Final Round on 8 November at Teatro El Silo.

The Jury is chaired by the acclaimed Spanish composer and writer Tomás Marco Aragón and comprises distinguished professionals from the classical music sector, including conductors, musicologists and educators.
Among the competition’s notable laureates are the Cuarteto Arriaga, Quinteto Granada Brass and Cuarteto Éxodus, all prize-winning ensembles from the competition’s first four editions, held between 2000 and 2003.
