Planet Tree Music Festival No. 12 · Colet House, London · Sat 7 November, 20:00 through the night
Renowned singer Manickam Yogeswaran and his Carnatic ensemble meet Lawrence Ball's piano in an all-night concert. It is a meeting of traditions and improvisation given the gift of extended time. The ensemble is L. Nagaraju on violin, Abhiraam Sahadevan on mridangam and A. Srinivasan on morsing. A Raga Gala runs from 21:00 to 01:00, followed by a violin solo, then a flute and veena duo into the early morning. Immersive light and colour by Synthaesis transform the space throughout.
