Kabantu

World music fusion band Kabantu collaborates with the BBC Singers to explore music that exists beyond boundaries. Bringing together music celebrating the Cutty Sark’s trade routes from multiple countries and eras, it is set to be a voyage full of energy and excitement!

Kabantu is a quintet from Manchester who unravels new marriages of music from around the globe to celebrate the space where different cultures meet. The BBC Singers are an exciting vocal group who perform everything from sacred vocal music to world premieres by composers such as Laura Mvula. Both groups have performed at an array of venues and festivals across the UK and beyond including the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, but this is the first season they perform on a ship.

Prepare to be amazed by the unique coming together of musical styles in an unexpected location.
